Ben Proffit’s birthday in Cape Town
In between windy days and road trips in Cape Town Ben Proffit managed to squeeze in his b-day party. From the pictures it looks as if Ben and his amigos is getting the best of Mexico while in South Africa. Today's special will be a digital tequila straight from South Africa right over the Internet. Talk about multi-cultural! http://www.thewetdream.co.uk/video.php?show=47

Latest from Jason Diffin on Maui
After that Cabo Verde overdose we'll dive straight into Simmer Style sails designer Jason Diffin's report of an un-crowded Maui:
– Thank God for the PWA and the Cabo Verde contest, because while all the contest guys were enjoying the perfection of Punta Preta, those of us here on Maui were enjoying some conditions of our own- with max 10 people on the water at Ho'okipa! We need more contests in far-flung places!!
I'm particularly excited about our kids gear line up this year- we have everything you need to get your kids on the water and having fun- STARTER is the sail for kids of any age who are ready to give windsurfing a try. GROM is for the kid who is ready to learn and execute the basics of high performance windsurfing. For adults who want an all Dacron traditional school type sail, we offer SMOOTHIE.
Kids gear packages come complete with all hardware- boom, mast, base and universal.
'08 will bring some big changes for sail models XFLEX and VISION. I have worked close

Jonas Ceballos in the Cape Verde event
Upon arrival on Cabo Verde Jonas Ceballos had to wait 1 week before his gear showed up, so when he finally was able to hit the water in windsurf mode he made sure to make up for lost time. According to the man himself it was the best starboard conditions he's ever seen with 1 and a half mast waves and good winds. Having never sailed the place in the first place and being a port tack guy on top of that we'd say that it's pretty damn good to finish 11th in a PWA event while going up against the worlds best starboard tack sailors. Upon arrival back home to Pozo it was overpowered 3.5 winds and 3 m waves, so it was off to the beach again. Keep your eyes open for Jonas hitting the waters of Maui this spring for contests and the Simmer Style photo-shoot. Until then have a look at these pictures including a massive aerial by Jonas. Photo: PWA / John Carter, Aleman, Joao and Julian.
