News from "Flykatcher"

Kai "Flykatcher" Katchadourian on his brand new '08 Icon feared no kayakers while waiting for a home run record ball to splash into McCovey Cove during a recent baseball game in San Francisco and ended up on national television during prime time. Jason Diffin’s words from the Gorge

Simmer Style designer Jason Diffin checking in from The Gorge...

"We're having a great summer with lots of windy days- but not "Gorge" windy- I've
sailed almost every day on XTYPE II 4.9, and I'm looking forward to receiving
my new XTII 4.3 from the factory today.
For anyone who has wondered about windsurfing in The Gorge- I have to testify
that it is a lot of fun- lots of wind, flat water, rolling and breaking swells
(often in the same spot) and many places to sail. There are a lot of stoked
windsurfers of every age and type here. Plus it's incredibly beautiful-
evergreens and snow covered peaks, warm crystal clear days. Plus the world
class mountain biking, fishing, climbing, ...
And if you want waves- the coast is 2 hours west, with excellent conditions,
although I have to admit the water is FRIGID.
I hope all the Simmer Style riders around the world are scoring this summer!!
JD"
