Victor Fernandez

Victor Fernandez (E-42) was well on his way to winning a hat trick of events during the recent PWA event in Brazil but in the end he had to settle for 4th place. On the PWA site the following was written about Victor's sailing:

"–The 2007 Mormaii Ibiraquera Wave Contest / PWA World Cup – Day 3
But the most impressive climb up the ladder today came from the shock-knockout from the single elimination, Victor Fernandez (Fanatic / Simmer). The young Spaniard, who was also the pre-event form player with two consecutive event wins, left a path of destruction that truly had the top 4 seeds waiting and watching on the beach for their turn in fear.

On his way, Fernandez slayed Scott McKercher (Starboard /Severne), Ricardo Campello (JP / NeilPryde), Josh Angulo, Klaas Voget, Robby Swift, and Kevin Pritchard (Starboard / MauiSails) before a mammoth showdown with Britain's Nik Baker (Mistral / North)."

The Fatface Night Windsurf Event

Ben Proffitt (K-800) was in the dark as he entered The Fatface Night Windsurf Event in the UK recently, luckily someone brought 4 big flood lights so that Ben finally could find his way to 2nd in the Super X type of race. With a silver medal in his pocket, big crowds on the beach and a great party it was more than anyone could ask for says Ben.

Demercastel exposed in Kuta Festival, Bali

Fellow French Simmer Style rider Sylvain Demercastel's bottomturns are nice, in fact they are so nice that the people in charge of the Kuta Festival on Bali choose him to be the poster boy for the whole gig. With the latest issue of Surf Mag Holland boosting 8 pages of his adventure in Chile earlier this year it's safe to say that it's well worth checking out even if you don't know Dutch.
