Douglas "Cheo" Diaz (V-34) joins Simmer Style

We'd like to welcome Venezuelan Douglas "Cheo" Diaz (V-34) to Simmer Style. This 23-year-old Isla Margarita native has been windsurfing since he was 12 and started competing in the PWA in 2002. At the moment "Cheo's" main goal is to have a go at the world freestyle title. Hopefully we'll have a few shots of him for you in the next couple of days. We'd like to welcome the very talented Mr. Andreas Olandersson (S-66) to the Simmer Style team. This amazing wave/freestyle sailor is currently spending his winter down in Cape Town, South Africa getting ready for the 2008 season. Tom Malina in SA

Hanging out with Ben Proffitt (K-800) down in South Africa can improve your wave sailing among other things, just ask fellow team rider Tom Malina (CZE-109) and check the pictures below. When not getting hints from fellow team riders Tom keeps busy winning a few South African Slalom races on a new Simmer Style 6.3 SC prototype.

Yann Sorlut scores at Avalanches, Biarritz.

French Simmer Style rider Yann Sorlut (F-60) recently scored a great session at a spot called Avalanche in Biarritz, one of France's premier big-surf locations. With Jean Siouville from Wind Magazine present we cross our fingers and hope for some nice pictures in the next issue. Victor Fernandez Almerimar session part 1.

Vice PWA Wave Champ 2007 Victor Fernandez (E-42) got all the wind he could ask for a few days back, with a 3.5 Icon and his smallest board Victor was still overpowered but it also made for some damn BIG jumps (2nd picture below, holy crap!) back home in Almerimar, Spain.
