Young Guns Camp 2012 Prasonisi

Let’s let numbers talk first: The 6th JP/ NP Young Guns Camp in Prasonisi 2012 on beautiful Rhode Island lists also the 36th training day since the revival of the most challenging kids freestyle camp on this planet in 2006. 11 nations are part of the game. The winner of last year’s camp, Kostja Smirnov from Russia, is back as well as last years participant and new junior European Champion Matthijs Lasore from Belgium. He brought his friend Michiel de Cooman along. Both are more then happy to train with the PWA World Champion 26 year old Steven van Broekhoven and Top Ten Worldcupper Andy “Bubble“ Chambers from England. 15 Austrians top the list of young guns followed by freestylers from Germany, Greece, Holland, Belgium, Slovakia, Poland, Russia, Italy, France and Serbia.

The facts are amazing: The level of this years camp is really outstanding: For the first time ever the students sailed away from switch chachoos, punetas and flakas on the beautiful windy first day in Prasonisi. Now the question is: What in the world do these kids want to learn? “The level has never been so high“, says coach and surf magazine tester Manuel Vogel, who is in charge of the highest level group. “We will be working on some double moves and the shaka.“ Next to the well known coaches and surf testers Franky “the spider“ Lewisch and Steve Chismar the Young Guns Camp welcomes a new coach and surf tester Tobias from Austria. The wind is looking good for the next days and the kids fired up to train with the best in the world.
