The final championship day provided quite tricky conditions—some took it in their stride, particularly those more experienced in the Masters fleet, others relished the stronger winds whilst others fell by the wayside.
This day wasn't Karl-Erik Saarm's best day either. He started off well with a win but then was OCS in the next race. However, he finished the championship top of the leader board with a healthy five point lead over Brazilian Leonardo Venturini who took two bullets on the final day. Jan Orsatti (SUI-27) claimed the third podium spot.
Karl-Erik had this to say: "The conditions were very difficult for racing, because the wind was extremely unstable and shifting. Therefore it was really hard to put down the tactics for each race. Nevertheless I managed to hold the leader position throughout the whole competition, much thanks to my new gear! I'm really happy with the new RS:Racing EVO6 formula sails, they are super easy to handle and support you with amazing control even when being overpowered."
