Hayling Island and Exmouth
Simon Bornhoft has had another busy coaching weekend, at both Exmouth and Hayling Island.
On a light, sunny barmy weekend, Simon Bornhoft and ten Exmouth windsurfers, went to work on some core windsurfing skills. Breaking down the key principles of the sport, SB covered how to improve gybes, inspire yourself to try duck gybes and improve general board handling. With plenty of top tips to work on for the remaining season, SB will be looking to return to Exmouth to move everyone onto another level in the future. ”Thanks to everyone who joined us on Saturday. Phil and Danielle from GetWindsurfing have been super busy this summer, both competing on the PWA tour and coaching. Here’s a list their latest coaching dates that you can get involved in:

HAYLING ISLAND
SATURDAY 25TH AUGUST-
11AM-2PM Off the front, meet at the far end of the car park by the golf course.
An Advanced session to work on gybing, jumping, freestyle and wave techniques.
4-7PM Langstone Harbour a.k.a Esso.
An Advanced session again with Phil to look at Carving skills and some freestyle too, perfect for those wanting to learn or improve gybe variations as well as aspiring freestylers wanting to learn or improve vulcans, spocks and more.
An Intermediate session with Danielle to work on Water starts and Blasting Skills.
Each session £35 or £60 for both AM and PM
SUNDAY 26TH AUGUST
10AM -3PM Hayling Island seafront as Saturday morning.
A day of gybing, jumping, waves and freestyle skills enjoying the conditions of low tide off the front at Hayling. £50
EGYPT
EL TUR NOVEMBER 18TH – 25TH Intermediates and Advanced. A great location with flat water, bump and jump and waves to improve skills. Whether its waterstarts, footstraps, gybing, jumping or spinning round in various crazy ways in the air, come and join us to enjoy the warm windy weather of Egypt, perfect temperatures at this time of year. 5 full days coaching, half board hotel, transfers and equipment hire £575 (£425 if you bring your own kit)
DAHAB NOVEMBER 25TH – 2ND ALL ABILITIES. NEW!!! 5 HALF DAYs of coaching, so a slightly less intense but still great chance to learn lots on the water with Phil and I. Open to all levels on the flat waters of Dahab. £500.
DAHAB DECEMBER 2ND – 9TH Intermediates and Advanced, make the most of flat water Dahab to improve on our skills, again whether its waterstarts, footstraps, gybing, jumping or spinning round in various crazy ways in the air, come and join us to enjoy warm waters of Dahab and skip a week of chilly UK December. 5 full days coaching, half board hotel, transfers and equipment hire £575 (£425 if you bring your own kit)

Hayling Island Extreme Paddle
On Friday NWF will host the Hayling Extreme Paddle at 11:00. This fun, easy level competition kicks off both the NSUPF and NWF events.
It consists of 1 mile run, 1.5 mile mountain/hybrid bike ride followed by a 1000m Inflatable SUP sprint (SUP to be no longer than 10ft).

There will be two main classes:
Team riders, who will need to bring their SUP back pack/bag.
Intermediates, which is open to all level of competitors.
Entry to this race is included in your NWF entry.
