August 5th 2011. Hookipa
So good !!!! What a day. The wind was crazy, but we got some “real” waves for a while, making this summer day like a winter day almost !!! I swim for 3 hours, let me tell you I won’t have sex tonight, so tired, haha. Anyway, the gallery is pretty good and uploading now. It will take a while, so come back late tonight or tomorrow morning !

I was trying one of my camera today, a 5dm2. I put it in my housing designed for the 7d, it worked after a few modification…. Well, I was really not sure of the result, the 5dm2 is designed for portrait and nature photography, it has a really slow and old focus system, barely 5 images per second, but it has a beautiful 24×36 full frame sensor in it, so I was curious to take it for a swim ! The result is quiet good, the High resolution images are super sharp. Not sure I will use it again, but it was fun trying.

03/07/2011 – Hookipa
I had a blast ! so much fun going in the water with good forecast ! Way too many people in the water, I had some close calls, but it was all worth it ! I did work with Kai Lenny for an hour and we got some pretty good results !
